I recently saw a friend in London who is minefield of information on all things holistic and healthy. I make sure I always have pen and paper ready when I see her because she gives me so many ideas to google…
She introduced me to the famed Dr. Catherine Kousmine (1904-1992), – a Russian (her family was well-to-do and fled the country during the Russian revolution) scientist based in Switzerland who believed in nutrition-based medicine. Dr. Catherine Kousmine devoted her life to medical research in Switzerland, with special interest in the effects of food on overall health, and cancer and disease prevention. Continue reading →
I would like to introduce my friend and anti-aging cook, Francois Bronn. I met him when spent two weeks at a beautiful chateau in Normandy where he was the chef. After the first dinner I made my way to the kitchen in order to discover who this da Vinci of cuisine was… Born in South Africa with the blessing of Italian gastronomic genes, Francois Bronn became fascinated with the magical qualities of food at a young age. Food ignited every one of his five senses and he saw it as both a potent intoxicant and a universal language which could not only seduce and salve but draw people together and – teach. Driven to create new taste sensations, Francois gathered ingredients and combined them in the manner a painter mixes colors. The results of his imagination and research are works of art that have made him a private chef in demand at high profile homes and hotels across the world.
Chef Bronn’s dishes are a riot of flavor and titillation. You will experience foogasm after foogasm with every bite! I will start to showcase more of his dishes herein focusing on his anti-inflammatory and alkalinizing specialties.
Every one of the ingredients in Francois’ recipes enrich the quality of your skin, boost immunity and fight aging.
Beetroot & Goat’s Cheese Ravioli with Pink Peppercorn and Orange Honey, Watercress & Toasted Almonds
I have fallen into a rut regarding innovative cooking of late thanks to the scorching heat. Sans energy = sans inspiration. However, I made an effort to motivate last week and came across this truly delectable and healthy recipe that I would like to share here. The key is that it is FAST as well as delicious. In addition, it has some of my fav anti-aging foods i.e. avocados, lime, buckwheat noodles (soba) and zinc-riddles shrimpies… Foogasms await as do plumpier skin and a higher sex drive!
So, you are in a hurry but need to come up with a meal that everyone will love? Try my Quinoa Pasta with Buffalo Mozzarella. I have never served to anyone who hasn’t gobbled it down in a blink of an eye and asked for more! Continue reading →
This facial scrub is so delicious you will want to eat it! To begin, rinse your face and neck with warm water and then gently apply the mask in gentle, circular motions. When you are done, rinse with icy cold water – but don’t wash with any face cleaner. You will want to leave it on for the night.
