URGENT! Educate Yourself on How to Avoid Genetically Modified Foods or Risk Sterility, Infertility, Cancer, Accelerated Aging etc.

My obsession for chips and salsa/guacamole has come to a halt. Why? Because of my new obsession with the horrors of genetically modified (GM) foods. The corn in tortilla chips is one of the major GM foods. The more I read, the more terrified I became. Especially when I thought about my child spending playdates in other kids homes – with parents or nannies who are not educated on GM dangers. We need to educate ourselves and our friends – FAST! GM foods cause everything from sterility and infertility to allergies and cancers.  Wake-up in restaurants – talk about no regulation.

In 2009, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) stated that, “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with genetically modified (GM) food,” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system. The AAEM has asked physicians to advise all patients to avoid GM foods.

Starting in 1996, Americans have been eating genetically modified (GM) ingredients in most processed foods. Why isn’t the FDA protecting us?

Prevent Aging and Sickness! Detox Your Body of Heavy Metals and Other Impurities Easily

Do you love sushi? Do you eat fish regularly? Do you live in a city? Do you spend time near smokers? Do you eat out at restaurants?   Do you buy food that is not organic? Do you use regular deodorants and non-organic beauty care products? Do you use chemical cleaning products? Do you drink tap water? Do you bathe or shower in non-filtered water?

I take a huge spoonful of Zeolite in a glass of water every ten days.   Because it is highly absorbent, I do not take vitamins that day.  I have read testimonials by people who take it more often but I believe the body works well on its own if supported by a healthy lifestyle.  You know your risk factors and habits better than I.

An Anti-aging Vitamin You Cannot Ignore But No One Knows About

Cranberries – a Superfood You Never Really Considered

Most women think that cranberries are useful only for helping eradicate or prevent UTI infections.  But the health benefits of cranberries are far more wide-ranging and even a tad surprising.

Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) is a small round red colored fruit which is native to America.  It typically grows in bogs.  If you’ve ever been in Nantucket you may have seen its extensive bogs.  Nantucket is home to some of the largest contiguous cranberry bogs in the world where cranberries have been grown since 1857. American cranberry is one of the only three species of fruit native to North America. The other species are blueberry and bilberry.  Cranberry gets its name from “crane-berry” because its stem and flower resemble the head, neck, and beak of a crane.

Cranberries are high in vitamin C and fiber and only 45 calories per cup. In disease-fighting antioxidants, cranberries outrank nearly every fruit and vegetable–including strawberries, spinach, broccoli, red grapes, apples, raspberries, and cherries.   They have strong antibacterial effects in the body and eating cranberries prevents viruses and bacteria from attaching itself to the body.  Something else to think about before sleeping with someone you don’t know well! (While women often drink unsweetened cranberry juice to treat an infection, there’s no hard evidence that works.) The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is funding research on the cranberry’s effects on heart disease, yeast infections and other conditions, and other researchers are investigating its potential against cancer, stroke and viral infections.

One cup of whole cranberries has 8,983 total antioxidant capacity. Only blueberries can top that: Wild varieties have 13,427; cultivated blueberries have 9,019. Continue reading
